Creating Special Moments
One of the perks of being a DJ is getting to work in a lot of venues in Minnesota. After working a wedding at the Hewing Hotel it jumped to the top of our list of preferred venues, which means we just had to blog about it.
With our offices and wedding DJs covering the entire state, and the number of events we work each year, we’ve worked with hundreds of places, so you can take our word for it… this place is worth checking out.
A hop skip & a jump from downtown Minneapolis, (just 3-blocks walk from Hennepin Ave on Washington Ave) is the Hewing Hotel. A historic building that has been refined from an old farm implement warehouse into a high-end hotel & venue.
The Hewing has style, and class, and we appreciate that in a venue. With it’s exposed timber & brick creating an industrial experience, and the rooftop bar for after-event relaxation.
As the area’s largest, most award winning wedding DJ service, we’ve seen our fair share of different venues and places to have events all over Minnesota. So we know what we’re talking about, and this one is top-notch!
The Hewing hotel has become one of our favorite venues in Minneapolis and we are excited to be able to work there again.
We can't thank you enough for working with us. Thank you for making suggestions for games and being interactive with our guests. The main reason for choosing you was the amount of communication and online tools you offered for the planning process. The online portal was fantastic!
A Night Of Fun
When creating a fun and memorable wedding reception, there are so many things to consider. And in our experience performing all over Minnesota, we’ve celebrated with thousands of couples. The key to having a great Minneapolis wedding is to relax and have fun.
As professional wedding DJs, we know how to create a fun environment for you and your guests.
Whether that is creating an epic music playlist with our online planning tools, choosing your “must play”, “play if possible”, “play only if requested”, and “DO NOT PLAY” lists… if you have questions about what kind of songs to pick, we have cheat sheets to help you figure that out.
Amber & Ryan’s wedding in particular though, was definitely not about the dancing, as we were not allowed to due to local regulations and restrictions.
So we came up with a different way to engage all of the guests in a safe, fun, and memorable way.
We set up and played a version of the newlywed game, where the bride and groom picked 4 other recently married couples to play along.
Tables were set up and spaced out, and Aaron, their wedding DJ, hosted and asked each couples questions to see if they matched answers.
In between each round, we took a break and played DJ Bingo, a music bingo game we have that let all of the guests use a virtual bingo card on their phone, and mark off when certain songs were played.
We gave out a TON of gift cards & prizes to the guests, and everyone laughed and had a great time.
We could keep going on about Amber & Ryan’s wedding celebration at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis, MN. But rest assured that they were thoroughly pleased with our services, even saying that the DJ services far exceeded the price they paid.
This is why we do what we do, and why we are recognized by so many couples with our awards on The Knot and Wedding Wire. We have the honor and privilege to celebrate with Minneapolis couples every weekend. We have the best job ever!
We Love What We Do
It should go without saying, that love is why we do what we do. The love that couples have for each other to get married. The love of family and friends coming together to celebrate. And the love and passion we have for providing the best DJ services we can offer to get to share in these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Being a wedding DJ near Minneapolis is more than music. It’s making memories and living life, and having fun.
